A 35-year-old man and a 16-year-old woman were found dead yesterday morning in a guesthouse bathroom in what is being treated as a suicide case, the Judiciary Police said.
The police were notified of the case by the mother of the 16-year-old, who showed them a letter left by her daughter.
Less than an hour later, police officers discovered the bodies of the two people lying on the ground in the bathroom, with burning charcoal by their side. Both were pronounced dead by the Fire Services when they arrived on the scene.
Escola Choi Nong Chi Tai has confirmed to the media that the man was a teacher at the school and the girl was a student. The Judiciary Police said it is investigating the nature of their relationship.
