A forgetful — and frenzied — mother demanded the plane she had taken off in return to the airport after realizing she had left her baby girl in the airport terminal, reported Gulf News yesterday.
The unidentified woman had just departed Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, en route to Kuala Lumpur, during a weekend flight, when she came to the horrible realization that her child wasn’t accompanying her.
When the Saudia pilot was alerted of the on-board emergency, he contacted an air traffic controller: “May God be with us. Can we come back or what?” he asks.
The pilot confirms the purpose behind the return: “I told you, a passenger has left her baby in the terminal and she is refusing to continue the flight.”
The air traffic controller then gives him the green light to return to King Abdulaziz Airport.
