IPIM director Vincent U and Manson Fok

The Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) has recently appointed two experts from the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST), according to a statement released yesterday.

Manson Fok, director of the MUST Hospital and the Faculty of Medicine, and Francis Ting Ming Lui, director of the Center for Economic Development and Professor of Business at the MUST, were named “Macau Conference Ambassadors.”

Both are renowned experts in the fields of big health and economics.

With these new appointments, the number of Convention Ambassadors in Macau has risen to 26. The Macau Conference Ambassadors program aims to leverage the influence of industry leaders and academics to promote the region’s strengths in hosting conventions and exhibitions.

According to IPIM, the goal is to enhance the city’s reputation as a convention destination and attract high-quality international conferences, exhibitions, and business events.

Since its launch, the program has been successful in securing 15 international conferences in Macau, covering sectors such as big health, cutting-edge technology, commerce, culture, and sport. LV
