UM student team wins global AI competition

A team of students from the University of Macau’s Faculty of Science and Technology won first prize at the 2024 Tencent AI Arena Global Open Competition, securing a reward of RMB 100,000. The team competed against over 2,000 teams from 390 universities across 18 countries, including the UK, Japan, Germany, the US, and Singapore. The competition was held on the Tencent AI Arena Open Research Platform, and UM team excelled in the Intelligent Agent Gaming Algorithm Track. The competition aims to enhance AI education and industry collaboration.
