Use of current consumption subsidy ends June 30

The government reminds eligible residents the current round of consumption subsidy, valued at MOP8,000, will end on June 30. Those who have signed up for the last round will be eligible for this round. Those who opted for mobile payment methods have had the amount credited to their accounts. In contrast, those who opted for the Macau Pass consumption card should get a top up at any of the over 170 tap-and-recharge kiosks on or before April 28. For these people, card balances must be lower than MOP10 to be eligible for a top-up. Failure to do so before the deadline will result in total loss of the subsidy.

IAM orders to recall a dried apricot product

The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) said in a statement that through regular inspections, it has detected in a dried apricot product a type of sweetener that is not allowed to be used in that type of food. It has ordered retailers to suspend and recall the product. The concerned brand of apricot product is Hazarbey and is produced in Turkey. The batch number concerned is 440076595/1-51-14, had a manufacturing date of 01.06.2022 and an expiry date of 01.09.2023.
