Winners of ‘Kam Pek Market’ tender finally unveiled

The ten winners of the “Kam Pek Market” food stalls have finally been unveiled after a selection process that took longer than expected due to the high number of bids received, SJM Resorts, S.A. (SJM) has announced.

The winners were chosen from a pool of 67 proposals submitted for the “Kam Pek Market” project, nearly seven times the number of available slots. This overwhelming response highlights the strong local interest and confidence in the project, according to the tender organizers.

The “Kam Pek Market” is expected to open between mid-December and the Lunar New Year of 2025, offering a wide range of dining options for both locals and tourists in the Central District.

Among the ten selected local Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) are new startups and established vendors serving popular Chinese, Portuguese, Japanese and Korean dishes, all chosen after a thorough evaluation.

The five main criteria that guided the final selection included an assessment of operational strategy, relevant experience and qualifications, operating hours, menu diversity, and payment options.

The winners are Time To Go Home Dessert, Ba Fang Ying Mian Cuisine, Goat Bakers, Zhen Dim Sum, Pratunam 1982, Linji Curry Noodles, Kinnokura, Lok Fu Chiu Chow Cuisine, Haeundae Korean Cuisine, and I Want Go.

The successful bidders displayed a commendable mix of innovative spirit and management expertise that meets our criteria for dynamic market offerings and quality excellence. We look forward to collaborating with these partners to deliver a diverse dining experience at ‘Kam Pek Market,’ merging tourism, gastronomy and culture.”

The selection committee also included Ma Chi Ngai, President of the Macao Chamber of Commerce, and Chan Ka Leong, President of the Board of Directors of the General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macau.
