Hong Kong Customs made its first arrest under new drug regulations on Saturday after apprehending a woman in possession of a “space oil” vape at the Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal. The arrest came just one day after the main ingredient in “space oil,” etomidate, was added to the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance and classified as a controlled substance. During a routine inspection, customs officers stopped a 28-year-old woman arriving from Macau and found a vape suspected to contain the banned substance. She was taken into custody and later released on bail pending further investigation.
