13 foreign jobseekers fall victim to fraud

A group of 13 Indonesian men and women fell victim to a fraudulent job recruitment scheme orchestrated by a mainland man. The man, identified as Chen, claimed to have access to secure employment opportunities in Macau for the victims, charging them a total of MOP124,300 in referral fees. However, Chen disappeared after receiving the money. Upon being intercepted by the police, he confessed to the fraud and admitted that the money had been lost. Chen is now facing charges of fraud.
