Fist of Power, the weekly television boxing program, announced at The Venetian Macao that its second professional boxing event Fist of Power II will take place December 16th at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai. The event is sponsored by The Venetian Macao and jointly promoted by Top Rank, SECA and G-Sports.
Fist of Power II features seven bouts including two regional title fights for Chinese boxers, who regard the upcoming event as a warm-up for shooting for world titles next year.
Yang Lianhui (aka Ik Yang) from Dalian, is scheduled to fight 10-rounds for the IBF Pan-Pacific junior welterweight title against Fahsai Sakkreerin, a Thai fighter with three different regional titles. Tan Dun martial arts trilogy coming to the Venetian Macao
In celebration of the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region, Sands China Ltd. is presenting a unique performance by world-renowned composer and conductor Tan Dun. Tan has won dozens of awards, including a Grammy and an Oscar for his score for the movie “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” and has composed works for world famous virtuosos including cellist Yo-Yo Ma and pianist Lang Lang.
Tan will lead the Macao Orchestra and three guest musicians through his Tan Dun Martial Arts Trilogy at The Venetian Macao Tuesday, Dec. 9. This is the first time violinist Jue Yao, cellist Amedeo Cicchese and pianist Jessie Chang are performing together, making for a must-see concert experience. The concert will be at The Venetian Theatre, and is being held in collaboration with the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao S.A.R. Government (ICM) and the Macao Orchestra. CEM and Zhuhai power supply bureau organize joint cultural exchange event
Companhia de Electricidade de Macau, S.A. (CEM), the Guangdong Power Grid Corporation (GPG) Zhuhai Power Supply Bureau, together with the labor union representatives of both companies, jointly rolled out a cultural exchange event for young employees on November 21, commemorating the 30th anniversary of the power grid interconnection between Guangdong and Macau.
CEM and the Zhuhai Power Supply Bureau each sent 15 employees to the event. The 30 participating staff members not only paid a visit to the two enterprises’ power facilities, but also held a symposium at the multi-purpose room of the Qinyun 220kV substation. Employees from the companies collected the soil of eight substations within the power grid interconnection to create two unique porcelain works, representing the close connection of the two places.
