Companhia de Electricidade de Macau (CEM) and the Women’s General Association of Macau (AGMM) held a seminar on “Energy Saving and Safety” yesterday, attracting over 160 participants.
The seminar aimed to share knowledge on energy saving and safety, raising awareness about the importance of regular maintenance and repair of buildings’ electrical installations.
The event was part of a series CEM has been organizing since 2009 on such topics, together with the Office for the Development of the Energy Sector. CEM aims to encourage residents and the hotel industry to save energy and contribute to the government’s initiative of “building a low-carbon Macau, creating green living together.”
The seminar covered topics such as household energy safety and saving tips, the responsibilities of building communal electrical installations, as well as the importance of regular maintenance.
At the seminar, the AGMM shared their hope that attendees would be able to share the tips learnt with their family and friends and incorporate green concepts into their daily lives.
