Corporate Bits | MGM receives 17 human resources accolades

MGM has earned a total of 17 awards from major human resources and management associations across Greater China, the gaming operator announced in a statement.
The awards included three from HRoot, two from the Hong Kong Management Association and 10 awards, including the overall HR Grand Winner prize, from HR Magazine.
HR Tech China awarded MGM for its learning platform.
VeryEast, an HR service platform, named MGM “The Best Employer of Tourism & Hospitality Industry.”
Wendy Yu, senior vice president of Human Resources, said, “We will continue to build on many critical human resources aspects such as continuous education and career growth, employee wellbeing and engagement, work-life balance, comprehensive facilities and opportunities to serve our communities.”
Yu also received the “Outstanding Achievement Award of Human Resource Management in Greater China” from HRoot.

Melco co-holds responsible gaming session with DICJ

Melco Resorts & Entertainment Limited recently held a Responsible Gaming training session in collaboration with the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) on amendments to regulations for gaming practitioners, with regards to entry, working and gambling within gaming areas.
Close to 160 Melco staff and nearly 70 junket employees joined the training at Studio City.
David Sisk, chief operating officer of Macau Resorts, Melco, said, “responsible gaming continues to be a top priority for Melco.”
“We are fully supportive of this training collaboration with DICJ to equip Melco employees and gaming practitioners with the latest information and updates for compliance with regulations,” he added.
Sisk also pledged that the company will continue to develop its proactive and systematic approach towards responsible gaming to go beyond mandated regulatory requirements, with technology and community outreach.
