Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, S.A. (SJM) has sponsored the “SEN Learning Programme” recently launched by the Macau Special Olympics (MSO), offering extra learning support to students with special education needs (SEN).
According to a statement issued by the gaming operator, the programme offers two professional support plans for students with SEN: a Remote Learning Plan and an Individual Education Plan.
In the Remote Learning Plan, customised e-learning programmes and devices are designed by SEN professionals to address individual learners’ needs in order to facilitate parents to assist their children with studying online from home.
In addition, MSO will partner with SEN teaching staff in delivering “1-to-1” tuition to keep the pupils fully engaged in their learning.
Daisy Ho, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SJM, said, “We are pleased to support MSO in providing additional resources for students with SEN, in response to the government’s initiative of ‘suspending classes without suspending learning’.”
