Sands China Ltd. recently supported the Youth Volunteers Association of Macao (AJVM) in a new responsible gaming training initiative, where parents and their children practiced and performed a short drama about responsible gaming.
Organised by AJVM, the “Financial Planning from Small, Influencing Big Community 2020” training initiative was created in support of the government’s responsible gaming promotion theme on family.
“Sands China is pleased to have supported this unique training, which helps deliver the message of responsible gaming to parents and children, while emphasising the development of positive values and wise financial concepts,” said Andy Kobel, senior vice president of table games and gaming optimization for Sands China Ltd.
Held twice a week from August 3 to 31, the participants worked on learning and practicing the drama, which focuses on two families living on an uninhabited island. Through demonstrating their contrasting financial choices, the drama educates the audience – and the actors – on the importance of responsible gaming and sound financial planning and management.
