The Wynn Food & Beverage Academy continues to hold career development and F&B training sessions.
The academy collaborates with a number of global institutions for team members to receive recognized and accredited qualifications.
It regularly holds master classes, invites award-winning chefs, famous winemakers and wine sommeliers to introduce team members to new products and sustainability practices.
The academy also regularly holds a series of master classes entitled, “China’s Eight Regional Cuisines”. These master classes introduce the unique characteristics of the eight regional cuisines of China – Sichuan, Hunan, Cantonese, Fujian, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui and Shandong – through lectures and culinary demonstrations, enriching each team member’s understanding of China’s gourmet culture.
Wynn also holds a two-week F&B Foundation Training program designed for newly hired F&B team members. The program courses cover Generic Food Safety and Hygiene, Sustainability, Chemical Safety and Introduction of Wines, among others.
Also, in an effort to preserve the city’s culinary culture and the traditions of Chinese cuisines, the Wynn F&B Academy gives team members the opportunity to participate in Macanese food competitions.
Wynn Food & Beverage Academy executive director David Wong said that the goal is for the academy to make it to the benchmark for hospitality training on an international level.
“We develop our in-house training programs and work with international educational bodies to ensure that our F&B team members attain Wynn’s highest standards of training,” he said.
Wong aims to expand the academy further and is currently developing new training programs that teach a range of skills from daily operations to F&B management.
The Wynn F&B Academy has a total of three training courses including F&B Internship Program, Culinary Apprenticeship Program and F&B Management / Culinary Management Trainee Programs.
