The “Galaxy Entertainment Group 2023 11th Yao Foundation Charity Game” and “Hive5 Sports Short Film Festival” will be held in Macau for the first time, Yao Ming, the founder of the Yao Foundation and chairman of the China Basketball Association, announced via video in a press conference yesterday.
Aside from the event from September 16 to 17, there will also be a series of extended activities such as public welfare forums, school visits, and a basketball carnival open to the public.
Philip Cheng, director of Galaxy Entertainment Group, said: “We are honored to be able to host this meaningful event in Macau for the first time, and to be the co-organizer and title sponsor of the charity game.”
“The ‘Yao Foundation Charity Game’ will gather many well-known players from home and abroad to compete on the same stage at our city’s newest and most eye-catching Galaxy Variety Hall.”
