Sam Hou Fai confirmed the new Chief Executive-elect of the Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR) with 394 out of the 398 ballots cast.
After confirmation, the results were announced at 11:25 this morning by the Electoral Affairs Commission for the Chief Executive Election.
From a universe of 398 ballots cast, Sam collected 394 with the other four being blank votes. No null or void ballots were cast.
In a speech that followed immediately the announcement of the results, Sam thanked his camp for all the work developed over the past few weeks noting that his ultimate goal is to “fulfill the wishes of the citizens for a better life.”
At the same time, the CE-elect also promised to remain faithful to his campaign manifesto and to continue working for the progress of Macau and China.
