Around 160 Sands China team members from all properties came together yesterday at Sands Cotai Central to participate in World Challenge Day, with an activity organized by the Macau Sport Development Board and the Macau Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau.
Sanctioned by the Association For International Sport for All (TAFISA) and the Asian Sport for All Association (ASFAA), World Challenge Day is an annual event in Macau. Its aim is to motivate people to be physically active for 15 minutes to generate awareness of the importance of exercise in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Representatives from the Macau Sport Development Board were present yesterday to lead Sands China team members in an exercise routine.
JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton celebrate Macau openings

CTM participates in “World Challenge Day” for 9th consecutive year
Co-organized by the Macau Sports Development Board and the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau, “World Challenge Day 2015” was held yesterday, where CTM continued to demonstrate its full support for the 9th consecutive year by encouraging its staff to actively participate in this sporting event. This year Macau was pitted against the city of Jerusalem, capital of Israel, with the objective to promote the importance of physical exercise.
More than 100 staff members gathered at CTM’s TEC Building in Taipa yesterday morning to take part in a set of 15-minutes-long physical exercises under the instruction of the coaches from the Macau Sport Development Board. Other staff members who were not able to join the group exercise session also participated in the event by conducting any kind of physical exercise for 15 minutes on the same day.
