For the seventh year in a row, MGM Macau has partnered with Orbis Macau to raise money through the “Orbis Raffle Sale Campaign 2015”, and is once again the biggest corporate donor to the charity for the seventh consecutive year. Through fundraising, MGM hopes to help reduce cases of preventable and treatable blindness and visual impairment.
On the afternoon of June 9, Mr. Grant Bowie, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Limited and Ms. Wendy Yu, MGM’s Senior Vice President of Human Resources, plus two Golden Lion Team members who were the highest donors among the team, welcomed Ms. Vivian Lo, Director of Development and Ms. Carmen Tavares, Assistant Development Manager of Orbis Macau at the Grande Praça. They then presented a check worth MOP254,000 to Orbis Macau.
The Golden Lion Team members participated the “Orbis Raffle Sale Campaign 2015” between March 23 and March 27. A total of MOP254,000 was raised and is the highest over the past six years.

The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) announced the trade show floor at Asian Attractions Expo 2015 will span more than 9,400 net square meters, setting a new show floor record for the fifth consecutive year. More than 7,000 attendees are expected to participate in Asian Attractions Expo 2015, which takes place 16-19 June at the Hong Kong Convention Centre.
The trade show floor will feature new products and services for the amusement parks and attractions industry, offered by 350 companies, including 70 first-time exhibitors, seeking to make new contacts and sign deals with an estimated 5,000 buyers from 65 countries.
Attendees can register on-site at the Expo in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre Level 3, 16-19 June. Asian Attractions Expo 2015 is an international business event for attractions industry professionals only and is not open to the general public.

The fifth “Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau Power Industry Summit” took place at Grand Hyatt Macau on 9 June. China Southern Power Grid Corporation Limited (CSG) initiated the event in 2011 so that the three regions’ power companies, namely CSG, CLP Holdings Company Limited (CLP) and Companhia de Electricidade de Macau – CEM. S.A. (CEM), take turns to hold the Summit each year in the mainland, Hong Kong and Macau, respectively. China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGNPC) has been invited to participate in the Summit since 2012. The Summit provides a platform for top executives from the four companies to enhance communications and cooperation through regular meetings and exchange sessions, in an effort to enhance the quality of power supply and develop a multilateral partnership in the three regions.
Key executives, including Wang Jiuling, Vice President of CSG, Richard Lancaster, CLP Holdings CEO, He Yu, CGN Chairman and Xu Kaicheng, CEM’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, attended the Summit and discussed topics based on the theme “Green and Renewable energy, sustainable development of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau”.
