Cheong Kin Man
Cheong Kin Man’s award-wining short film, “A Useless Fiction,” has just clinched another prize: “Distinción Amarilla.” Known as “the Yellow Prize” in English, it was awarded at the Cinemística Film Festiva in the Spanish city of Granada after the film premiered at two screenings in Slovenia last month.
The 31-minute feature was presented during the festival in the seminar titled “The chaos in the light of words” as part of UNESCO’s program, the International Year of Light 2015.
The seminar, followed by a cultural exchange session between Macau and Spain, was also a session held in a tribute to the French-Swiss filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard. The film is expected to go on a screening tour through the USA, Singapore, Portugal, Germany and Taiwan in the upcoming months.
