Sands China held graduation ceremonies last week for 300 team members who have completed the casino’s career development program.
The six-month course, titled the “Integrated Resort Career Development Program,” aims to expand the workers’ skill sets by enabling employees to gain experience working across the non-gaming departments of Sands China’s properties.
Last week’s graduates included 100 team members from the food and beverage department, and another 200 who work across the hotel operations, front office, concierge, recreation, housekeeping, guest services and retail teams.
“To me, it’s a great opportunity,” said Candy Tam, an employee from the table games department who graduated last week. “I managed to identify and build on my strengths through working with, and learning from these new challenges.”
Sands China said in a press statement that additional programs are currently in progress in departments such as entertainment, finance, information technology, and convention and exhibition.
