Melco Crown Entertainment (MCE) volunteers recently launched a series of activities bringing festive blessings to the local community, including a donation of rice and bedding to the under-privileged, home cleaning for the elderly and a CNY party for the Concordia School for Special Education. According to a press release, over 2,600 MCE employees supported the activities that offered benefits to more than 10,000 individuals in total. The MCE Volunteer Team organized the first employee rice donation in mid-January by setting up collection booths at the Heart of House areas last week. The team has collected over 23,200 kgs of rice from over 2,400 employees in just one week. The elderly residents at Centro de Dia “Brilho da Vida” were visited by the volunteers who delivered the first batch of rice. In collaboration with Caritas Macau, the remainder will be distributed to those in need before the CNY.
