MGM China has launched the two-week “Golden Lion Health Campaign” for employees to promote the importance of a healthy work-life balance. According to a statement from the company, over the course of the campaign, almost 10,000 employees and their family members joined a variety of indoor and outdoor activities.
Simple tests and games were given to employees to better educate them of the causes of insomnia and how to improve their daily performance by getting a good night’s sleep.
The campaign also emphasized the importance of physical health, emotional and mental wellness and regular exercise. With regards to the latter, a family hiking activity was arranged for employees and their families starting from Hac Sa Reservoir, last weekend.
cem holds workshop with macau institution of engineers
Companhia de Electricidade de Macau (CEM) and the Macau Institution of Engineers (AEM) recently co-hosted a workshop at AEM’s office, according to a press release from CEM, with the objective of addressing trends in the power transmission and distribution network industry.
During the workshop, both parties exchanged their opinions on the development of the power industry in Macau as well as the state of electrical engineering more broadly.
The workshop addressed a wide range of topics, ranging from high-rise buildings and large-scale estates to renewable energy facilities.
AEM Vice Council President, Addy Chan, expressed his appreciation to CEM for the arrangement and support of the workshop, adding that it had provided the engineering industry with an opportunity to communicate with representatives from the energy sector.
The press release from CEM further states that the company also benefited from the joint workshop because it gained a better grasp of the “needs of the industry.”
