The organizers of the Macau Gaming Show (MGS) have joined with the Macau government to launch an official visitor subsidy scheme for international buyers and business partners coming to this year’s MGS Entertainment Show. The subsidy scheme is called the “Qualified Buyers” (QB) initiative, which will provide extensive travel and accommodation subsidies for visitors to the show that will be held at The Venetian Macao in November.
The maximum grants available at this year’s exhibition range from up to MOP1,200 per person for visitors from Hong Kong and Guangdong Province, to MOP4,000 per person for visitors from Asia and MOP7,000 for visitors outside Asia. The subsidies can cover costs of round trip flights, transportation services to Macau and hotel accommodation in Macau or Taipa. Reimbursements are available for up to two representatives from each qualified company.
MGS Chairman, Jay Chun, stated in a press release, “QB is a small step but a giant one in terms of encouraging people from around the world to start the process and engage in what probably is one of the most exciting global business initiatives for centuries.”
The QB scheme will be operated by a designated team at the MGS offices in Macau. Interested parties can apply online and submit applications by July 31.
