Sands china launches ‘Myfitness’

Sands China Ltd. is launching “myFITNESS,” a new initiative aimed at encouraging healthy habits to support team members’ physical fitness, health and well-being.

The first campaigns to be launched under the initiative are “Green Mondays” and a back-of-house health booth, the gaming operator said in a statement.

“Sands China is very pleased to introduce this new program for our team members, which encourages a healthy lifestyle,” said Dr. Wilfred Wong, president of Sands China Ltd.

“Now we are glad to encourage that same eco-consciousness with this new team member initiative,” he added.

During “Green Mondays,” the back-of-house team member dining rooms at all Sands China locations will be serving more vegetables, with a separate vegetarian counter offering six healthy choices, including the plant- based meat alternatives Omnipork and Beyond Meat.

Meanwhile, this month’s back-of-house health booth will provide team members with information about health indexes, maintaining a balanced diet, nurturing wellness, and developing good exercise habits, inviting the contributions of medical experts.

Cam holds seminar on airport’s virtualization progress

The Macau International Airport (MIA) has held its ninth seminar, titled “Virtual Airport Review on MIA’s Virtualization Progress,” inviting Prof. Xue Huacheng, an expert on information technology management and the information system consultant of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM), to its premises to deliver the address.

MIA has carried out strategic transfer and informatization for 13 years.

Fully-informative, fully-automatic, fully-intelligent and fully-ubiquitous has become the world’s expectation as virtualization has become more prevalent, CAM said in a statement.

“There are two ways towards virtualization: one is innovation, the other one is to simplify similar works. Neither is dispensable. Enterprises and employees should keep learning to adapt to the rapidly changing environment, to virtualize tasks and work to a higher level of virtualization,” it added.
