Brief | Hairdryer triggers fire in hotel, 4 taken to hospital

A fire allegedly caused by a short-circuited hairdryer in an Imperial Palace Hotel guest room on Sunday morning has resulted in four visitors being hospitalized for treatment. The fire, which occurred at around 6 a.m., reportedly blackened the walls and ceiling of the room. It had already been extinguished upon firefighters’ arrival. The fire is believed to have been sparked by a faulty internal connection within the household appliance, which was burnt to ashes.
