Sands China and the University of Macau’s Center for Continuing Education honored the third group of graduates for completing the customized one-year diploma program in business management this week, with a graduation ceremony at the university.
The 44 graduates represent various gaming and non-gaming departments at Sands China, including table games, facilities, food and beverage, market development, surveillance, and others.
Sands China is the first company to have worked with the University of Macau to develop a one-
year diploma program. Since its launch in the 2014/15 academic year, over 140 team members have earned diplomas.
“This unique diploma program helps Sands China’s local team members grow academically, professionally and personally,” said Antonio Ramirez, senior vice president of human resources for Sands China, “[so they] can further contribute to Macao’s development as a world center of tourism and leisure.”
