Dr. Joseph Koo, Hong Kong’s greatest composer and a legend of the industry, will bring his Dr. Koo Glorious Concert in Macau to the Cotai Arena at The Venetian Macao as part of a farewell tour on Oct. 17. Tickets for the one-night only concert go on sale today at all Cotai Ticketing box offices.
The concert will see some of Cantopop’s biggest stars take to the stage to delight the audience at the Cotai Arena, including Adam Cheng, Liza Wang, Teresa Cheung, Mak Kit Man, Gallen Lo and Albert Au. According to a press release issued by Sands China, there will also be a special guest who will surprise attendees.
A composer who has created hundreds of famous works and has composed thousands of songs, Dr. Koo is best known for his film and TV themes and soundtracks. A luminary and an inspiration for generations, he has won dozens of awards and has been presented with a multitude of honors for his long and distinguished career.
With the conclusion of the Dr. Koo Glorious Concert tour, Dr. Koo will bid farewell to the music industry and enjoy his retirement.
