Corporate Bits | JW Marriott wine specialist announced as Macau finalist of best sommelier greater China

The-Best-Sommelier-Greater-China-Competition_Macau-Final_2015_Champion_Billy-de-Leon-with-Trophy-2_20150707-350x350-bThis week, JW Marriott Hotel Macau Wine Sommelier, Billy de Leon, beat nine other wine sommeliers to be crowned the Champion at The Best Sommelier Greater China Competition (Macau Final) 2015, hosted by the Hong Kong Sommelier Association on July 6, 2015 at the Institute for Tourism Studies, Macau. Billy will go on to compete for the title of Best Sommelier Greater China against some of the top sommeliers from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong at the final event in Hong Kong in September 2015. Billy is no stranger to the title of Best Sommelier of Macau, having won the title of Macau finalist in the same competition in September 2013.

GEG donates bed sheets to local animal centers

P001Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) consistently promotes the message of caring for abandoned animals and pays close attention to their living conditions. Therefore, GEG actively donated 1,000 clean bed sheets to local abandoned animal associations for their needs.
GEG volunteers visited Anima Macau and the Abandoned Animals Protection Association of Macau, helping out with the daily operations of the associations and the lives of the abandoned animals.
GEG volunteers spread the bed sheets on tables, cleaned the animals’ cages and had fun with them.

Shell bonus card arrives in Macau

Shell-familyShell has launched its Shell Bonus Card in Macau, introducing both fuel discounts and fuel rebates for local motorists.
From today onwards, drivers can visit any of the Shell stations in Macau and submit an application form to get a Shell Bonus Card on the spot. Motorists can then enjoy an instant offer of buying MOP10 to get a MOP1 fuel discount with the Shell Bonus Card.
To celebrate the launch, drivers can receive a pair of limited edition Shell sunshades upon successful application during the promotional period. The sunshades will be on a first-come-first-served basis while stocks last.
Apart from the instant offer, from July 15 to December 31 this year, all Shell Bonus Card holders are eligible for a rebate MOP50 fuel voucher upon reaching an accumulated refuel amount of MOP1,500 at Shell stations in Macau. Shell Bonus Card customers who refuel with Shell V-Power Nitro plus are entitled to 25 percent extra reward.
