Corporate bits | Kelly Chen performs at the Venetian

Presented by The Venetian Macao and Media Asia Group, Kelly Chen took to the stage at Cotai Arena with her latest “Kelly let’s celebrate! World Tour” at Cotai Arena of The Venetian Macao on Saturday night, thrilling the audience with her dynamic blend of music, dance and showbiz panache.
Saturday’s concert encompassed all of the pop star’s famous hits, including “Blessed,” “The Arctic Snow” and “Cares About You,” sending her fans into a sing along frenzy.
Famous for her unique vocals and dynamic moves, the latest tour is a celebration incorporating six different themes, dazzling costumes, and magnificent lighting and staging effects, according to Sands China’s statement.
Since embarking on a career as a singer and an actress in Hong Kong around 20 years ago, Chen has achieved great success across Asia, selling over 20 million records. She has released 38 albums and also landed numerous high-profile movie roles on the big screen.

MGM joins DSEJ’s internship program

MGM Macau participated in the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau’s (DSEJ) “Summer Internship Program 2016,” held between July 4 and August 26.
MGM welcomed nine high school and university students to work for nearly two months across departments, including Facilities Management, Rooms and Food & Beverage, Digital & Technology Solutions, and Design, Development & Construction.
To maximize student involvement in the learning process, the program assigned each student to a designated department that best matched their educational backgrounds and interests, MGM informed in a press release.
The program aimed to help students develop self-confidence and enrich different attributes, such as communication and interpersonal skills, critical thinking and problem solving.
Following completion of the internship, a sharing session with a certificate presentation ceremony and souvenir giveaway was held for the participants, and was attended by their mentors and the department heads at MGM.
