MGM has announced its collaboration with Art Basel Hong Kong to promote global arts and culture through the inaugural “MGM Discoveries Art Prize.”
The winner of this award, which recognizes innovative and original emerging artists, will be revealed at the MGM Lounge during Art Basel Hong Kong on March 28.
The MGM Discoveries Art Prize aims to spotlight international artistic talent, offering artists increased exposure and opportunities to showcase their work to a global audience.
The prize is designed to support emerging talents of all ages and nationalities, helping them elevate their influence within the international art community.
The jury members include Aaron Cezar of the Delfina Foundation, Antonia Carver of Art Jameel, Christopher K. Ho of Asia Art Archive, X Zhu-Nowell of Rockbund Art Museum, and Sam Seungho Park of Parkseobo Foundation.
Three shortlisted artists—Shin Min, Kayode Ojo, and Saju Kunhan—will compete for the USD50,000 prize.
