0329072015Macao Post is going to issue a mint set of commemorative stamps and a souvenir sheet themed “Water and Life” on Friday. With the full support of Macao Water during the design process, the stamps record the changes over the past 80 years since the modernization of the local water supply.
The stamps show pictures of the city from the olden days and today. In the past, queuing up for water was a part of everyday life; nowadays, a safe and reliable water supply is available with the presence of advanced water treatment techniques, improved customer service standards and rigorous water testing methods.
Through a set of four commemorative stamps, souvenir sheet and first day cover, the issue of “Water and Life” aims to raise awareness among the public on water conservation. From July 31, interested persons can make purchases at the Philatelic Shop at Macao Post or via other sales networks. For details, please visit www.macaupost.gov.mo/Philately.
