Since launching its Local Supplier Support Program in July of last year, Sands China Ltd. has purchased various products from 74 new local suppliers, leading to a total of  more than MOP55 million.
As of July 31, this sum compromised some 1,300 purchase orders, and 2,500 items.
Sands China’s statement outlined that its scheme focused on three types of local businesses which had been identified in collaboration with the Macao Chamber of Commerce: small and micro companies, “Made in Macau” companies, and local young entrepreneurs.
Sands China’s Local Supplier Support Program is in line with the MSAR’s government’s initiative to “buy local” and demonstrates the company’s commitment to supporting local enterprises as part of its corporate social responsibility efforts.
The scheme is part of Sands China’s supplier relationship management strategy which guides the company’s long-
standing effort to source from local suppliers, who it views as its strategic partners.
