Corporate Bits | Sheraton launches “Nyonya Temptation” at Xin

0Sheraton Macao Hotel, Cotai Central, the world’s largest Sheraton and Macau’s largest hotel, presents “Nyonya Temptation” at Xin, the only Michelin recommended hotpot restaurant in Macau. Offering an escape from the chilly autumn weather, the Nyonya hotpot menu will be available from September 22 to October 12.
Authentic Nyonya dishes combine Chinese, Malaysian and other influences sure to delight the taste buds. This Peranakan interpretation of Malaysian and Indonesian food incorporates a range of flavors including tangy, aromatic, spicy and herbal. Xin will offer a selection of Nyonya individual “po-pots” and a hotpot buffet, offering a diverse array of Nyonya hotpot soup bases, Nyonya street snacks and Nyonya hot and cold dishes, as well as desserts. Chef’s recommendations include Nyonya Assam Curry Fish, Exotic Malaysian Nyonya Salad, Rojak and Udang Masak Lemak (Prawns in Coconut Gravy). Nyonya hotpot lunch and dinner buffet menus are both available.

Typhoon Kalmaegi affects 57 flights

Typhoon Kalmaegi yesterday affected 57 flights at the Macau International Airport, with 16 cancellations and 41 delays. Before the hoisting of the number 8 signal at 01:15, the last departing flight was NX880 to Bangkok at 22:58 and the last arriving flight was 5J380 from Clark at 23:47.
At 02:30 early yesterday there were 250 passengers in the Terminal building (60 in departures) and at 03:30 there were only 140 passengers remaining (53 in the airside).
To minimize the inconvenience caused, the Airport Authority ensured food and beverages services and liaised with immigration for the reentry of the stranded passengers to Macau.
Moreover, the Airport Authority distributed light snacks and soft drinks, made available electrical extension cords for the recharging of electronic equipment and blankets. The lights in the terminal were also dimmed to ensure a more relaxing environment.
Passengers who decided to leave the airport made use of the airport limousine service.
By lunchtime yesterday, the first flight to arrive was FD760 at 12:42 and the airport gradually started to resume its normal operations.

CTM introduces e-marketing channel to SMEs

SONY DSCCTM has been striving to assist small and medium enterprises (SMEs) integrate information technology into their operations.
CTM recently conducted a workshop to introduce the e-Marketing, Cloud application service and online promotion strategies to the members of the Macau SME Association.
The “CTM e-Marketing Workshop” was held on the afternoon of Sept 11 at the head office of the Macau SME Association, where about 60 of the Association’s members attended.
Albert Wong, CTM’s Director of Business Services & Development and Lawrence Lo, CTM’s Senior Manager of Business Services & Development, introduced the development of e-Marketing, Cloud application services, promotion strategies, QR codes & e-Coupons, and exclusive privileges to the Macau SME Association members, including CyberCTM.com advertising services and website production and promotion, thus helping SMEs to understand the advantages of e-Marketing, improving their competitiveness in the market.
