In celebration of the “5.17 World Telecom Day”, CTM demonstrated the “road cracks detection” smart solution built on Baidu’s PaddlePaddle framework. This application uses visual sensors installed on road inspection vehicles, together with 5G Edge-in-a-Box and Baidu Maps to provide real-time labelling of road surface defects and carry out statistical analysis using Baidu’s PaddlePaddle, delivering more accurate management analysis for urban management with higher flexibility and lower costs.
Also, CTM demonstrated a smart health application that brings together online patient consultation system, telesurgery system, remote doctor consultation and intelligent ward inspection. The smart solution has also adopted facial recognition and AI tools for real-time health data analyses.
Vandy Poon, CEO of CTM said that with the construction of the “Cloud, Network, Intelligence, Security” digital foundation, CTM will continue to “invest in the introduction and self-development of smart solutions to meet the needs of Macau.”
