DSPA launches initiative to collect ‘Lai Si’ envelopes

Despite collecting approximately 16.21 million “lai si” envelopes over the past eight years, the Environmental Protection Bureau (DSPA) reveals that only about 3.83 million—roughly 23.6%—have been reused. DSPA continues to promote recycling and launched the “It’s Very Easy to Collect Lai Si Envelopes” initiative on Saturday, during World Wetlands Day, at the Ecological Zones in Cotai. The event aims to encourage carbon reduction practices across the community and promote the reuse of “lai si” envelopes. From February 3 to 16, collection points will be available at 56 locations.
