The “Guangdong and Macao Branded Products Fair 2014” (GMBPF) will be held over four consecutive days from tomorrow to Sunday at Macau Fisherman’s Wharf Conference and Exhibition Centre.
The fair’s venue this year covers an area of 6,000 square meters, with 284 booths in total. Two major exhibition zones for Macau and Guangdong will be established in the fair. The Guangdong province has organized for a total of 129 enterprises to participate in the fair, and to promote and showcase branded products, including food products, daily necessities and gifts.
These enterprises hail from 20 prefecture-level cities, including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Shantou, Foshan, Shaoguan, Meizhou, Huizhou, Shanwei, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Yangjiang, Zhanjiang, Maoming, Zhaoqing, Qinyuan, Chaozhou, Yunfu and Shunde.
Included in the event’s program, the “Shenzhen and Macao Trade and Economic Co-operation Seminar 2014” will be held at Fisherman’s Wharf on July 31, as organized by the People’s Government of Shenzhen City. Another event, the “Guangdong and Macao Enterprises Procurement Meeting,” will be held on August 1.
This year, there is a newly established DIY Interactive Exhibition Zone where special events will be organized, including demonstrations of the making of handmade chocolates and handmade leather items.
According to the organizers, the GMBPF constitutes “a vital measure for mutually promoting the development in the convention and exhibition industry, has gained recognition and support from the governments, as well as the industrial and commercial sectors, of the two places [Guangdong and Macau].”
The event is jointly organized by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) and the Department of Commerce of the Guangdong Province.
