The Macau Grand Prix (GP) Museum has finally unveiled the names of the remaining four racers that will be featured in wax figures by Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.
Michael Rutter, Robert Huff, Edoardo Mortara and Lewis Hamilton will finally join the list with the previously unveiled names of John Macdonald, Ron Haslam, Ayrton Senna, and Sebastian Vettel.
According to the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), the entity in charge of the museum space, the figures will be featured next to the cars and motorcycles driven and ridden by the racers that are already on display at the museum.
As the Times had previously reported, three of the figures (Ayrton Senna, Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel) are recast as they are already featured by Madame Tussauds in other museums namely in Japan, Singapore and Dubai, among others.
As for the other five, including John Macdonald, Ron Haslam, Michael Rutter, Robert Huff, and Edoardo Mortara, they were newly crafted by Madame Tussauds, especially for this collaborative project with the Macau GP Museum.
The inauguration of the new feature will take place on March 27 (Monday) at 2:30 p.m., the day from which the waxwork will be available for public viewing.
MGTO also stated that due to the installation process of the figures, the museum will be temporarily closed for public visits on March 26 (Sunday) for the whole day as well as for the morning of March 27.
In compensation, the museum will be open on March 28 (Tuesday) welcoming all visitors to appreciate the new feature.
