Ink paintings exhibition opens at IACM

The “Roaming Vision + Digital: Exhibition of Ink Paintings by Leung Kui Ting” is now open at the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau’s (IACM) Temporary Exhibitions Gallery. 28 art pieces by Hong Kong artist Leung Kui Ting are now on display in an exhibition organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau. The artist focuses on the human heart’s perception of the external world and the drive to achieve unity between the mind and physical objects, and to observe all things in the universe in the form of objects themselves. The exhibition will run until July 10 at the IACM Temporary Exhibitions Gallery from 9 a.m.
to 9 p.m., including public holidays.

Night market may reopen

Lo Kam Kuan, a member of the advisory committee of the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau, has suggested that the local government arrange a night market at Largo do Pagode do Bazar, according to a report by Macao Daily News. Lo suggested that the government set up a small-scale night market with food and light decorations, which he said would boost the attractiveness of Macau to prospective tourists.

Fashion illustration contest winners to be awarded tomorrow

The 7th Macao Fashion Illustration Contest awarding ceremony will be held tomorrow at the Macau Design Centre. The Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center, which organized the contest, said this edition of the competition encouraged participants to express their dreams through their designs. Participants are divided into two categories: 19-year-olds and teenagers aged between 14 and 18. The organizer said it had received a total of 205 submissions for the contest, which will be evaluated by a jury comprising seven members of art associations. The winning pieces will displayed at the Macao Design Centre from tomorrow until July 10.
