Macau attends UNESCO Creative Cities Network annual conference

The 17th UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) annual conference took place on June 23-24 in Enghien-les-Bains, France. Over 450 delegates from 200 cities worldwide gathered under the theme “Culture and Artificial Intelligence: Shaping the Future of UNESCO Creative Cities.” Macau’s delegation, led by Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes (MGTO) and Deland Leong (IC), showcased Macau’s designation as Culture City of East Asia 2025 and promoted its flourishing gastronomy sector. The MGTO director highlighted the upcoming second “International Cities of Gastronomy Fest, Macao” in July, following its inaugural edition last year. The conference featured discussions on AI integration, sustainable urban development, and creative exchange within the global creative community.
