Macau to add nearly 4,300 hotel rooms with new developments

The Land and Urban Construction Bureau (DSSCU) has reported that four hotels are currently under construction in Macau, with 10 more projects in the design phase.

Upon completion, the four hotels and ten proposed projects are expected to add 2,928 rooms and 1,301 rooms, respectively, to the city’s accommodation capacity.

Government data shows that Macau currently boasts 146 hotel establishments. According to the latest data from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC), the average occupancy rate of guest rooms has increased by 4.9% year-on-year.
