During the Hong-Kong International Culinary Classic (HKICC) contest in early May, the MGM Golden Lion culinary team garnered nine accolades, including the competition’s most prestigious award the “Golden Bauhinia Cup,” as well as two Gold, two Silver and four Bronze, outperforming MGM’s previous records.
“MGM is incredibly proud of our culinary team who has achieved greatness in this internationally acclaimed competition,” vice-president of food and beverage at MGM, Geoffrey Simmons, said.
“These remarkable results were only made possible with the talented and hardworking Golden Lion team members, who have undergone months of intensive training under the supervision of management team members and instructors,” he said.
Endorsed by WorldChefs, the World Association of Chefs’ Societies, and co-organised by the Hong Kong Chefs Association (HKCA), HKICC promotes culinary excellence, chefs’ skills and abilities, cooks, pastry chefs and apprentices from near and far.
