Non-resident workers of all nationalities will be accepted to enter the city from next Monday, a health official announced this afternoon (Thursday).
Before then, only domestic workers from outside of Macau were accepted, and advanced applications were a must.
The scope expansion that was announced this afternoon covers all non-local workers – regardless of their occupation. If they are skilled professionals, their family members will also be allowed in.
The entry permission only applies to those with valid working visas or permits to enter.
Those entering from mainland China will be allowed in right away. On the other hand, those entering from other places will need to submit an application to the Health Bureau.
Applications will be accepted from June 24.
