Odebrecht Angola has won a contract worth USD268.2 million for construction of a water supply system in Angola’s Benguela province, according to a presidential order.
The order, dated 23 October, states that the Angolan subsidiary of Brazilian group Odebrecht was awarded the third phase of the Benguela Water Project, for construction of a water supply system in Benguela, Lobito, Catumbela and Baía Farta .
The construction project, according to the order, “has become a benchmark for the country, providing access to clean drinking water to a large section of the population of the cities of Benguela and Lobito.”
