The Social Welfare Bureau (IAS) reported an increase in engagement with the “Mental Health Partners Program,” part of its “Community Mental Health Task Force.”
From January to September, the program held more than 600 training sessions and community activities, attracting over 35,000 participants – double the number recorded in 2024.
The program’s recognition ceremony was held yesterday, honoring nearly 100 participants, including small and medium-sized enterprises, social organizations, gaming operators, and public sector bodies.
Lei Lai Peng, head of IAS’s Department of Family and Community Services, said, “Since the program’s launch in 2024, participating organizations have grown from more than 70 to nearly 100, while attendance at activities has doubled year-on-year, reflecting the community’s increasing focus on mental health promotion.”
She added that authorities plan to continue promoting diversified mental health training through six regional collaborative networks in partnership with multiple social service organizations.
The event also featured multiple on-site health promotion activities aimed at raising awareness and supporting community well-being. Times Reporter
