Public library upgrade to impact services during CNY

The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) will upgrade the information system of the Public Library from 8 p.m. on January 28 until 11:59 p.m. on January 31, coinciding with the Chinese New Year celebrations. The upgrade will temporarily suspend several services, including the library catalog, electronic resources, mobile app, and self-service kiosks. Circulation services at the Red Market Library and 24-hour book drops will also be affected. The public is advised to make arrangements in advance, as all branch libraries will be closed from Chinese New Year’s Eve to the third day of the holiday, except for the Red Market Library.
