Reining champion returns to defend his title

The Greater Bay Area (GBA) GT Cup remains part of the local Grand Prix program as a support race, and reigning champion Han Lichao will return to defend his title.
As in last year’s edition, Han will drive the Toyota Gazoo Racing China GR Supra GT4 EVO2.
The Macau race is now part of the four-round SRO GT Cup, which also includes races in Shanghai, Pingtan, Beijing, and Macau. The series debuted as a support race to the Shanghai F1 Grand Prix last March and will conclude at the Guia Circuit.
Han currently leads the championship with a comfortable advantage over Chen Weian in an Audi R8 LMS GT4 Evo and Moritz Berrenberg in a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport.
The GBA GT Cup entry features eight manufacturers, including Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Ginetta, Lotus, McLaren, Mercedes, and Toyota.

Among them is two-time Macau GT Cup winner Darryl O’Young, who will race a Craft-Bamboo Racing Mercedes AMG GT4 EVO. This will be O’Young’s final Grand Prix appearance, as he recently announced the end of his 38-year driving career ahead of the Beijing round.
As in previous editions, Macau is strongly represented, with seven local drivers listed. The highlight among them is Kelvin Leong, former Macau Roadsports Challenge and CTM Cup winner and last year’s top local finisher, racing a BMW M4 GT4.
Other local competitors include Lei Kit Meng (Ginetta G55), Wong Cheng Tou and Ip Un Hou (McLaren 570S GT4), Lao Kim Hou (Ginetta G55), Miguel Lei (Audi R8 LMS GT4 Evo), and Wong Wai Hong (Mercedes AMG GT4).
