Sands Cares Ambassador sets up new committee

The Sands Cares Ambassador program celebrated its 11th anniversary with a ceremony at The Venetian Macao featuring the inauguration of the new Sands Cares Ambassador Working Committee and an award presentation for local winners of this year’s Mr. Sheldon G. And Dr. Miriam Adelson Citizenship Awards.
To better cope with the expansion of the company’s volunteer service and the growth of its volunteer team, a Sands Cares Ambassador Working Committee has been established. The new committee seeks to recognise talented ambassadors and offer them opportunities for personal development, such as taking on leadership roles at Sands Cares events. It also aims to organize more community activities, with the overall goal of serving more people in the community.
“Sands China is very proud of our Sands Cares Ambassadors, who have been giving up their free time to do volunteer work to help others, particularly society’s more vulnerable groups,” said Dr. Wilfred Wong, president of Sands China Ltd.
Additionally, the event featured the presentation of the Mr. Sheldon G. And Dr. Miriam Adelson Citizenship Awards to three winners from the Macau region. They were among nine global winners of the annual awards announced in July, who have exemplified a dedication to giving back to local communities and important causes.
