The sixth Greater Bay Area Outstanding Young Entrepreneurs Awards Ceremony, organized by the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) Entrepreneurs Union, was held yesterday simultaneously in Hong Kong and Macau.
The Macau venue was set up at the University of Macau (UM) in the multi-function hall.
A total of 79 young entrepreneurs received awards, eight of whom are from Macau, including three UM alumni.
Now in its sixth year, the event has continuously discovered and recognized outstanding young entrepreneurs for their innovative spirit and practical abilities, engaging over 3,000 participants both online and offline.
In an online address Secretary for Economy and Finance, Anton Tai expressed hopes that young entrepreneurs would maintain confidence and resilience, whilst seizing new opportunities brought by national development.
“The network has made deep achievements, connecting with entrepreneurs for seven years, preparing in areas such as ESG (environmental, social, and governance), law, and AI skills […] to contribute to the high-level development of the GBA,” said Tai.
Independent evaluation by academic institutions and specially invited experts selected eight young entrepreneurs from Macau were selected for two major award categories, Outstanding Young Entrepreneurs and Best Entrepreneurship Awards Winners. By Times Reporter
