Xiaomi starts selling phones in Brazil in 2015

Private Chinese company Xiaomi is due in 2015 to start selling smartphones in Brazil, after the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) approved the Note 4G model, the Brazilian press reported. Xiaomi, which set up a subsidiary in Brazil, Xiaomi do Brasil Tecnologia Ltda., was founded on 6 April 2010, but is already the fourth largest manufacturer of smartphones in the world, due to excellent results in China. In the mainland, the company is known for providing devices with excellent configuration at low prices and for a business model similar to US company Apple, with stores with a clean design and the annual release of just a few products. The company has at times been in third place in the smartphone market after Apple and Samsung, but returned to fourth place after China’s Lenovo acquired Motorola.
