Established in 2013, the Welfare Shop Project of Macau Holy House of Mercy (SCMM) provides short-term food assistance to families facing financial difficulties due to inflation.
Since its founding, Wynn has supported the Welfare Shop Project by donating funds or supplies to assist community members in need, a statement yesterday from the gaming operators said.
Last week, Linda Chen, President and Vice Chairman of Wynn Macau, presented a cheque of MOP300,000 and sponsored the distribution of food baskets to 373 families from the General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macau, Macau Federation of Trade Unions, Association of Parents of the People with Intellectual Disabilities of Macau, and others.
In addition, 35 Wynn volunteers distributed food baskets containing food and daily necessities to these families at SCMM, “helping reduce their daily burdens,” the statement reads.
A multi-purpose shopping trolley and a supermarket cash voucher valued at MOP100 were also provided to each family.
